THE ROVING ADVENTURER
REWRITE THE RULES
With its striking design and innovative materials, the PEUGEOT BOXER has been transformed for the 2019 VDL* show into a roving adventurer that is up for anything. The first challenge was to break the mould of the traditional camper van and showcase the PEUGEOT brand’s vision of this type of vehicle. To enliven a segment devoted to freedom, the focus is on style and the thrill of adventure.

RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT
EXPLORE
In order to enable it to explore nature in an environmentally responsible way, the PEUGEOT BOXER 4x4 CONCEPT complies with the latest emissions standards (with APF and SCR ) and with the latest Euro 6 standards in force.
The PEUGEOT BOXER 4x4 CONCEPT is much more than an exercise in style. It is required to be as at home on gravel, mud and snow as it is on rocky roads.
The 4x4 transmission is provided by a viscous coupling and a transfer case at the front. It is activated via 3 switches located within easy reach on the left side of the dashboard.
3 driving modes are available :
- 2WD, for driving in 2-wheel drive mode, for daily driving
- 4WD, which supplies power to the rear wheels in the event of a loss of traction
- Lock, used to lock the rear axle, useful for extreme crossings and bridge crossings
4 high-performance tyres enhance the effectiveness of the 4-wheel drive. PEUGEOT BOXER 4x4 CONCEPT is equipped with off-road tyres combined with 16” aluminium rims from the PEUGEOT RIFTER. They combine strength, endurance, good looks and above all excellent traction.
PEUGEOT BOXER 4x4 CONCEPT’s ground clearance has been increased by 30 millimetres at the front and 50 millimetres at the rear, allowing it to handle almost any obstacle.
Even the steepest slopes will not be a problem: the BlueHDi 165 engine with its 6-speed manual gearbox delivers an impressive 370 Nm of torque.

ALPINE
ALPINE, a specialist in on-board multimedia equipment has taken care of the navigation and entertainment system. To underline its commitment to the motorhome sector, and to streamline ordering, lead times and handling costs for manufacturers or retailers, PEUGEOT is introducing a new, factory-fitted Alpine satellite navigation system that has been developed specifically for motorhomes.
For example, it has been designed to calculate routes that avoid low bridges or roads that are too small or narrow. Its XXL 23 cm colour screen with split display is fully integrated into the dashboard and can be used by the driver using OEM remote controls on the steering wheel. Its maps are updated for three years free of charge. It also includes a rear camera compatibility, millions of POIs and can connect two phones via Bluetooth. It is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlayTM for the convenient use of smartphone applications. It benefits from the OEM assistance and its warranty is covered for 2 years by the PEUGEOT repairer network all over Europe.
KERROCK ET SASMINIMUM
The sink, worktop and table are provided by KERROCK while ALPINE, a specialist in on-board electronic equipment, took care of the navigation system.
Lastly, it was start-up SASMINIMUM that designed the flooring, which was developed as part of their “Le Pavé” project. Created by 4 young architects in 2017, the start-up recycles plastic, mainly collected directly from the natural environment and from seashores: it is waste that is not normally used in other recycling streams. The flooring is certified by the Waste&Hope label, which means that the raw material is more expensive to buy but this in turn finances the social and ecological activities of this organisation. The product is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable.
