TIRE MOUNTING AND BALANCING
ASSEMBLY AND BALANCING
- Fitting and balancing tires
- valve replacement
- Visual checks by PEUGEOT experts
PEUGEOT RECOMMENDS YOU
- Check your tire pressure once a month and before each long trip. It is best to do it cold. Under-inflation reduces tire life, increases fuel consumption and compromises vehicle handling.
- The pressure recommended by the Manufacturer for your vehicle is indicated in the driver's door opening and in the user manual.
- Regularly check the wear of your tires using the wear indicator.
- Tires that show a bump, cracks, cuts, foreign bodies or uneven wear should be checked by your approved repairer.
- In any case, after 5 years, regardless of the mileage and the depth of the grooves, plan to have your tires checked. Not to mention the spare wheel. Your safety depends on it. Particularly strict in terms of safety, the Technical Control is intractable on the condition of the tires and the rims.
- For vehicles with 4 wheel drive, it is recommended to replace all 4 tires at the same time.
- A visual inspection of your tires by a PEUGEOT professional can enable him to identify wear on other safety elements: suspension, parallelism, etc. Have your tires checked by a PEUGEOT expert.
THE CHOICE OF TIRES
The dimension, the speed index and the load index are determined by the Manufacturer. They are the result of the best balance in terms of safety, behavior and performance for your PEUGEOT.
Do not choose a tire with speed or load indices lower than those approved by the Manufacturer. It is dangerous and prohibited by law.
TIRE MARKING
LOAD INDEX
Maximum load that the tire can carry at maximum speed (indicated by the speed index).
SPEED INDEX
Maximum speed allowed to carry the load indicated by the load index.
WEAR INDICATOR
Wear indicator, located at the bottom of the tread pattern, in one of the main grooves.
